Does Doloc Town Have Multiplayer or Co-op?

A current answer to whether Doloc Town supports multiplayer, online co-op, local co-op, split screen, or shared farms in version 1.0.

DIRECT ANSWER

The short version

No. Doloc Town is a single-player game and version 1.0 does not include online multiplayer, local co-op, split screen, or a shared-farm mode. The official Steam store lists Single-player, while the developer FAQ says the game was designed as a single-player experience and that there was no current plan for multiplayer or co-op. That plan could change only through a later official announcement.

What the official listings confirm

The current Steam feature panel describes Doloc Town as Single-player. It does not list Online Co-op, LAN Co-op, Shared/Split Screen, PvP, or cross-platform multiplayer. The developer's July 2025 FAQ goes further: it describes the game as designed around a single-player journey and says there was no current plan to add multiplayer or co-op. Version 1.0 launched in August 2026 without a multiplayer feature appearing in the official store description or feature list.

02

Can two players share one farm?

There is no official shared-farm system. A second person cannot join your world, control another scavenger, manage a separate cabin, or connect through a host code. Steam Family Sharing can allow eligible family members to access a library under Steam's rules, but it does not turn a single-player game into co-op and it is not a way for two people to play the same copy together at the same time.

03

Does Steam Remote Play Together add co-op?

Remote Play Together works only when a game already supports a suitable local multiplayer mode. Doloc Town does not list that feature, so streaming one screen to another player would not create a second playable character or separate controls. Ordinary Steam Remote Play can still stream your own Windows session to a supported device, but that remains one player controlling one running game.

04

Why Workshop support is not multiplayer

Steam Workshop support lets players subscribe to compatible community items or modifications. It does not provide networking, matchmaking, shared saves, or server hosting. A mod claiming to add multiplayer should be treated as an unofficial and high-risk functional modification. Back up saves, confirm current-version compatibility, and remember that patch 1.00.03 warns that unsupported functional mods can cause black screens or prevent the game from loading.

05

Could co-op arrive later?

It is possible for any development plan to change, but there is no official co-op roadmap to report as of this page's checked date. A forum request, database tag, speculative article, or creator video is not an announcement. Reliable confirmation would need to come from the official Steam news feed, store feature list, developer channels, or a released build. This page will change only when one of those sources changes.

06

What to play if co-op is essential

If you want the gathering, farming, building, and exploration loop with other players, Core Keeper is the closest broad alternative in this site's comparison. Stardew Valley is stronger for a shared farm and town routine, while Terraria emphasizes side-scrolling exploration, construction, and combat. They are not substitutes for Doloc Town's exact story or setting, but each offers a documented multiplayer mode rather than an unofficial workaround.
